candlealpha
candlealpha is a free, single-player browser skill-trainer for reading financial
markets. You look at a real, anonymized historical candlestick chart from a futures,
stock, or crypto market (no instrument name, no dates, no price labels while you
decide), predict where it goes next, then reveal the market and see how you scored.
Educational only, not financial advice.
There are three modes, switched from the header:
-
Predict: call the direction on Daily, Weekly, or Monthly candles,
either the overall Trend (a move-driven triple-barrier call, daily only) or the
Next candle (green or red). Scored on hit rate and streak.
-
Trade: place a simulated long or short with a stop-loss,
take-profit, and chosen dollar risk; the reveal simulates it into profit or loss
against a running, resettable, for-fun account balance. No real money is ever
involved.
-
Daily challenge: one shared set of ten Trend rounds per calendar
day, the same ten for every player, ending in a copyable score.
This page requires JavaScript to play. Three reference pages work without it:
-
How to play: the modes, the exact scoring rule for each
one, and the Daily challenge.
-
Data and simulation: where the prices come from, which
instruments are in the pool, how malformed candles are excluded, and the Trade
simulation's rules.
-
Privacy: what stays on this device, what an anonymous Daily
challenge submission contains, and what optional analytics records.
